Fausto Veranzio - Inventor
Veranzio's masterwork book is called Machinae Novae (Venice, 1615)
Faust envisioned windmills with both vertical and horizontal axis, with different wing constructions to improve their efficiency. The first wind turbines were described by Fausto Veranzio. In his book Machinae Novae (1616) he described vertical axis wind turbines with curved or V-shaped blades.
Faust has a place in Nikola Tesla Technical Museum's
Sculpture Garden of the Croatian Geniuses of Science and Technology.

An extraordinary inventor
Faust invented the first Vertical Axis Wind Turbine that is the namesake for our company Faust Electric.
He also invented countless more including the parachute and suspension bridge.
